A message from Megan A. Lorenz, MS, Assistant Teaching Professor of Business and Business Program Coordinator at Penn State York
I’m delighted to share some fantastic news—our Penn State York FBLA students recently participated in the FBLA State Leadership Conference this past weekend and achieved remarkable success! The team brought home an impressive total of 26 awards, including nine prestigious first-place finishes. (I also want to mention we won first place 8 out of 9 times in performance events against Penn State Main). Additionally, we were honored to receive the PA State Gold Seal Chapter Award of Meritin recognition of the outstanding work our Chapter has accomplished this year.
As their advisor, I feel incredibly fortunate to witness their dedication, growth, and achievements firsthand. In just seven years, this chapter has earned over 200 state and national awards, firmly establishing itself as a powerhouse within the FBLA community. Additionally, I’m proud to share that this year, we will be sending 16 students to the National Leadership Conference in Dallas.
